ABOUT UNIVERSITY
St. Joseph’s University is a private-aided higher educational institution run
by the Karnataka Province of the Society of Jesus in Bangalore, Karnataka,
India. It stands as one of the oldest educational institutions in the state of Karnataka, boasting a history of 141 years. The university has been
conferred the College of Excellence status by the University Grants
Commission (UGC) in 2017 and holds a high rating from the National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).It offers graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various subjects, spanning from social sciences to sciences. St. Joseph’s University boasts a faculty of
around 300 teaching members and a student population exceeding 10000.
The university is situated at Lalbagh Main Road, Shantinagar, Bangalore.


GENERAL GUIDELINES
- All participants are required to carry their ID cards.
- Participants can confirm their registration online or on the day of the fest.
- The registration fee will not be refunded
- Participants must report at the venue 15 minutes prior to the event.
- No discriminatory or foul language will be tolerated.
- Read the rules and regulations of each event carefully
- Register for all events using the QR code
- All event links are mentioned on our website/Instagram page.
- Judges' decision is final and binding.
- Results announced will be non-negotiable.
- Contact event heads for any queries.
- Check the schedule before registering for more than one event.
- Participants must wear the ID card provided by us at all times.

Events
DataVision
Prepare, Perform, Succeed is a hands-on event preparing aspiring data analysts for real-world challenges. It features: Technical and analytical challenges in SQL, Python, Excel, and visualization, with gamified tasks and leaderboards. Behavioural interviews, role-plays, and team collaboration to assess communication, teamwork, and problem-solving . Participants gain practical experience, feedback, and recognition, sharpening both technical and soft skills for success in data roles.

Rules and Regulations:
- Eligibility: Open to all aspiring data analysts with basic knowledge of SQL, Python,Excel, and data analysis (also to those who would like gain knowledge are heartily welcomed).
- Registration: Participants must register before the deadline. Late registrations will not be entertained
- Punctuality: Participants must join the event on time. Latecomers may be disqualified or lose scoring opportunities
- Code of Conduct: Maintain professionalism, respect for peers, and adherence to
the event schedule.

- Skill sets required: Python data cleaning and visualization.
- Juypter Notebooks are advised to be used for the event.

- Use of internet will be allowed only whenever indicated.
- Participants are required to carry their own laptop.

- Problem statements must align with the given themes: Finance, E-Commerce, or Healthcare.
- Round 1: Teams will present a 10-minute PPT highlighting their problem, approach, and solution.
- Round 2:: Shortlisted teams will engage in an interactive session with the judges, explaining their technical methodology, models, and insights in depth.
- All presentations must be original and supported by valid data analysis.
- Participants must adhere to the time limits and respect the panel’s decisions.
- Plagiarism or unethical practices will lead to immediate disqualification.
